Believe it or not I'm in central Texas in the heart of the Texas hill country. And no its not Llano, actually about 60 miles Sw of it. Been getting into prospecting and decided to see if i had gold in the area. Old hills with creek beds.. Untouched for the last couple hundred years.Never hurts to try. After about 20lbs of material haven't found any black sands, which kinda discouraged me at first but with a test pan i did find a couple very small flakes with the blonde sands. Anyway the reason i am writing is that in the area there is a dried waterfall. Used to be a spring that has dried up and now only runs during heavy rain. And its created a "bowl" at the base with tons of sediment and limestone. Would this be the an ideal place to get material for my sluice or down stream or both? Let me know what you think

That bowl would be a perfect place to look. I'd work into the area at the center of the bowl. From there, slowly work your way outward in all directions.
