question for all you prospectors out there! What is the (acid?) solution that is used to test Platnium/Lead? I heard about it awhile back, now I can't remember. Thnx in advance for the help!

Its nitric acid. Lead, silver and mercury disolve in it (as do most metals). Platinum and gold do not react with it.
