The ecofreaks always get their way. To be an outdoorsman is to soon be a thing of the past. I also enjoy fishing and that is on the chopping block next. The MLPA ( Marine Life Protection Act ) is ongoing and will shut down large swaths of coastline to fishing along the coast. Any established and persistant kelp will be off limits. I'm down here in southern Calif. so from Palos verde to San Diego slammed shut coming early next year. A $40 million budget that is still going forward but the state is broke. Parks are closing, child day care gone and public safety employees being laid off ( fire ando police ), tell me there is no liberal ecofreak agenda here. What a bunch of crap!!!

This is absolutely ridiculous. 27 years in the military protecting these pansy butted do gooders and this is what I get. 30 % of my annual income deleted with the stroke of a pen. For no reason other than a socialist agenda merging with the uneducated green no loads that have theirs and now want to dictate how others may live. Bailout, stimulus, clunkers, health care one thing after another being rammed down our throats when will it stop? I have lived in Asia and as a country, trust me you do not want to continue moving in that direction.

PLP was afraid this might happen so we have been working for a couple of weeks on a Federal Injunction to stop the State of California from imposing the closure on suction dredge mining. We are also filing an appeal in state court in the next few days on the Hillman Karuk injunction on not issuing suction dredge permits. We will keep you updated on where we are at with both cases and hope that we can raise the funds to pay for them. If the miners are to ever stop these green agenda’s, we must do it now. It is easier to do the legal battles and do the legal research than it is to raise the funds required for those suits. Many of you have come forward with help in the past and we thank you for your generosity. Now we need each of you to start talking to your friends, clubs and people you know who prospect and get them involved. PLP will do its very best to see these that lawsuits bring back our rights under the mining laws and the Constitution. The Mining Law authorizes mining, not the state and there is considerable support from case law that says that the State can not be contrary to federal law. The Mining Law and the Case Law is on the miners side. PLP is already in the original Karuk v DFG, Hillman Karuk taxpayer v DFG, the Karuk Injunction to stop issuance of dredge permits and the Public Lands for the People v. the USFS, on their Travel Management Plan (Closing Roads). Keene has offered another $5,000 to continue fighting these cases and the two new case before us. We have also had a call from the Mining Journal offering financial help and others also. If you feel that you can donate funds to help us through these cases we can certainly use them. Donations can be sent by way of pay pal at plp2.org at the bottom, left side of our main page of the website. Or funds can be sent to: B.H.
