Hello, I've just purchased the Keene A52 from this site, and I'm new here and thought I would introduce myself because I have a feeling I'm going to have a few questions. March will see me beginning my 3rd season as a recreational panner in the highlands of Scotland. I've been using drop riffle sluices previously so I am thinking the A52 will increase my returns this year - hoping anyway. My main reason for going with the A52 is to increase the amount of material I can run before I need a clean out - am I right in assuming that? Maybe it's like asking 'how long is a piece of string' but is there any rule of thumb on how many buckets of 1/4 inch classified material I can run through the A52? Another things that has me a bit concerned is the type of miners moss that will be required. Is the supplied ribbed carpet going to do the job, or will I need to get another type of moss? The gold in the mountain streams here ranges from fine, to small flakes, with some flakes verging on nugget size, and even some small nuggets (rare) - but the majority is fine to small flake. Will it be necessary to lay more ribbed matting into the flair? Any advice would be very welcome and appreciated. Thanks, Paul
